IKEA's Cabinet Solution Is Great For Hiding Eyesores Around Your Home

As relocating a poorly situated utility control panel can be expensive or even impossible, a convenient, alternative solution is to hide these eyesores with a stylish IKEA cabinet.
TikToker @ilodecorations used an IKEA Pax to enclose the control box for her underfloor heating, without obstructing access to it. An IKEA Billy/Oxberg or Eket would also work.
While you should avoid blocking HVAC utilities like wall heaters or air returns, this hack can be used effectively for utilities such as a water heater or washing machine hookups.
Pick an IKEA cabinet that’ll easily contain your utility. To accommodate the utility and allow the cabinet to fit flush with the wall, make a cutout in the back panel or remove it.
