If You Find Mouse Droppings In The House, Here's What
To Do

Clorox bleach bottle in stainless steel sink
Mice infestations are a serious issue, as their droppings can pose a threat to your health. The best way to safely clean mouse droppings in the home is by using bleach.

Mouse droppings and urine contain pheromones, which can attract more rodents to your home. They also can transmit bacteria and viruses, including the hantavirus
and salmonellosis.
Person putting on blue rubber gloves
Start by putting on rubber gloves, a mask, and safety goggles to protect yourself against the droppings and to keep your skin, eyes, and lungs safe from the harsh bleach fumes.

Then, create a solution of one part bleach to nine parts water, which is about 1 1/2 cups of bleach for every gallon of water. You can also use a store-bought disinfectant spray.
Person spritzing liquid from spray bottle
Next, spray the droppings and areas of urine, allowing the solution to sit for about five minutes before picking them up with paper towels and wiping the area dry.
Quickly discard the paper towels in the garbage, ideally in an outside trash can with a lid, and mop the area with a disposable mop pad and a good disinfectant solution.
