How Nate Berkus Creates A Gorgeous Flower Arrangement On A Budget
By PAMELA SIEGEL
Designer Nate Berkus loves using fresh-cut flowers to give a room a special touch, and you can mimic the bouquets he creates by using his favorites — white roses and peonies.
"I'm a big proponent of taking a juice glass and putting six roses from the corner deli next to your sink," Berkus told InStyle. "[Seeing] it makes your day a lot nicer."
Berkus’ tactic also works with any type of small vase or container. Cut the stems a little shorter than the height of the vase, remove the leaves, and add the roses one by one.
Berkus mentioned the corner deli when suggesting where to buy flowers, referencing affordable vendors in the city, but most grocery stores have bargain selections too.
