How Christina Hall Uses Color For Stunning Kitchen Cabinet Design
By ASHLYN NEEDHAM
If you want to make a dramatic change to your kitchen, try designer Christina Hall's new trick of color-blocking the cabinets by using contrasting colors like white and soft green.
Color-blocking pairs two colors that are often considered contradictory to make a statement. For this tactic to work, one color needs to be bold and the other needs to be bright.
By placing your darker color on the bottom set of cabinets, you will create the illusion that your kitchen is larger than it is since the darker color is close to the floor.
Hall also placed a white and gray geometric backsplash pattern between the cabinets and up the walls around the windows to create cohesion in the room.
Gold hardware gave the space a subtle hint of chicness, and with the help of the geometric backsplash, the color choices provided the room with a fresh and modern feel.
