HGTV's Jasmine Roth Always Keeps An Eye Out For These Goodwill Finds
By ASHLYN NEEDHAM
Aged Ceramics
Old ceramics and pottery are great items to find. Not only do they create the vintage look HGTV’s Jasmine Roth loves so much, but you can spruce them up.
Place a few weathered ceramic vases on open shelving or use one as a handy kitchen utensil holder. It could serve as a unique decorative item on your back patio or in your garden.
Vintage Dinnerware
Vintage dinnerware sets look homey, and you could strike gold by finding real stainless steel pieces every now and then which will last a long time.
They can also be used as decoration. "If you have a cool glass cabinet like this that you want to style, filling it with quirky, vintage dinner sets would look amazing!" Roth says.
Utensils
Roth says that vintage serving utensils are quite durable, and can elevate the kitchen's vibe by giving your tablescape more character.
Old Lights
Unique light fixtures can add to the design of any room, and Roth says they are almost always in stock at your nearest Goodwill.
"Cool, old lights always add a ton of impact to a room, so definitely be on the lookout for those," Roth says. Their warm, glossy colors perfectly balance history and freshness.
Artwork/Frames
Vintage paintings or wall art pieces have lots of versatility when it comes to sprucing them up. They are easy to scout as they're almost always in stock.
You could revitalize vintage art by painting the frame. Or, if you find a frame that sports the typical golden edge of the past, use that to add a shiny design element.
