Fixer Upper Stars Joanna & Chip Gaines' Home Is A Sight To See

Chip and Joanna Gaines know that a home must have great curb appeal and say it needs "potted plants, sconces, front door mats — little things that […] feel intentional."
The porch has a warm wood double door with glass inserts, two rocking chairs, large potted plants, and metal lantern-style sconces. The creamy white exterior makes it feel cozy.
On the compact, stylish entryway, Joanna says, "Some people don't have this carved-out entry space. So, even if that means a table [...] It's just that nice, warm welcome."
Her entryway includes a wooden bench, raw wood table, tons of plants, and glass pots full of Pampas grass. She also has a blacksmith-style hook rack, similar to this one from Etsy.
Although a small space, Joanna shares that "the pieces in here are really special." They include a couch, small stools, and a street sign from her honeymoon with Chip.
Joanna likes alternative wall décor and open shelves. She has a large, rustic-style clock — you can snag a smaller version from Aspire Home Accents, which has a shiplap-style face.
She added an antique piano in her living space as a statement piece, saying, "I love the contrast of black and white. But […] there's a playful vibe to [the piano]."
You can do the same with a vintage green credenza or sideboard. To recreate the look of Joanna's green piano, you can get her signature paint color, Magnolia Green, on her website.
The laundry is one of Joanna’s favorite spaces — with brick floors and quirky signage. She says, "This is where I read, this is where I write, this is kind of my space."
The laundry floor has patterned tile — for a similar effect, try cement tiles from Clé Tile. There’s also a vintage-style typography, and you can get a similar piece from Amazon.
