Filling Buckets From A Small Sink Is A Breeze With This Clever Trick
By DESIRÉE O
If you’ve ever tried to fill a bucket in a sink that’s too small, or where you can’t squeeze it under the faucet, you’ll love this hack that repurposes a dustpan into a DIY funnel.
Use a dustpan deep enough to hold a little water, with a handle that’s either a hollow tube or curved so it forms a spout. Plug any holes in the handle with tape or hot glue.
Position the dustpan under the faucet so that it acts as a funnel and set the bucket beneath — place it on the floor, or put it on a small table or chair to make things easier.
You’ll be glad you don’t have to hold the bucket as it fills with water, or lift it out of the sink when full. Another good tip is to keep a clean dustpan, just for this purpose.
