Folding tables are functional but hardly beautiful. To revamp these tables so that they look great in your house, cover them up using pool noodles and patterned duct tape.
As TikTok user @i_am_lexc demonstrates, these two affordable household items can disguise the table's thin metal legs and brackets with padding and a dash of color.
Measure the distance from the floor to just under the tabletop, and cut the noodles to fit. Slice each piece of foam lengthwise to open it where the hole runs through the center.
Next, wrap sections around the metal, hiding it from sight, then wrap the noodles with duct tape, starting at the bottom. Remember to keep things snug and straight.
Continue to the top, covering any visible brackets, and complete the look by covering the tabletop's edge with a matching trim in the same pattern. Feel free to tweak the design.
As a bonus hack, if you feel your duct tape is leaving obvious seams, you can use contact paper or peel-and-stick wallpaper instead — or even glue fabric over the foam.
