Don't Toss Empty Soda Cans. Try These Ideas For Your Home & Garden
By PAMELA SIEGEL
Flowers
Make roses, sunflowers, or daisies out of soda cans, and keep the original colors or spray paint them. Mount your metal flowers on wreaths or on stakes in your garden.
Mold your empty soda cans into stars, then use them to create a mobile or wind chime, or hang them on your Christmas tree or on wreaths, painted to match your festive decor.
Use your empty soda cans as a canvas for your paintings or as the background for collage or decoupage art. Display your embellished cans as artwork or use them as bud vases.
Remove the top of your soda can to create a holder for your pens and pencils or makeup brushes. Cover it with fabric that matches your decor and add a decorative ribbon.
Create a set of vases by painting the soda cans and crushing them slightly to add texture. Leave the tops on to hold buds or remove them if you want to add a bunch of flowers.
