DIY Your Own Briquettes Using This Brilliant Coffee Ground Hack
By KATE CUSSON
Used coffee grounds should never end up in landfills considering how useful they are for so many DIYs. One viral hack can turn them into easy-to-make fire starter briquettes.
Create a double boiler over low to medium heat and melt some wax. Make sure your coffee grounds are completely dry, then add them to the liquid wax and stir into a thick paste.
Pour the wax into a mold, then let it cool fully — you can use an old egg carton or an empty duct tape tube for your molds. Remove the wax from the molds and wrap it in wax paper.
Instead of using wax paper, you could add a small candle wick to the fire starters before they harden. Your egg-sized coffee ground fire starters will stay lit for 20 minutes.
