DIY The Ultimate Pool Party Decor Using Pool Noodles
By MICHELLE ROBERTS-GARCIA
To elevate any party, BBQ, or just your home in general, consider building a popsicle garland by gluing jumbo popsicle sticks inside pieces of differently colored pool noodles.
To start, cut your pool noodles in 3- to 6-inch cylinders. Then, insert the popsicle sticks into the noodle's center and secure them in place using a hot glue gun or rubber cement.
Once the glue has dried, push a pen, pencil, or chopstick through the top of the cylinder, about 2 inches down from the edge on the side opposite from where you attached the stick.
Lastly, thread a string through the holes made using the pen. You can also cut pool noodles of different colors into smaller cylinders and glue them together to make a Rocket Pop.
Try gluing two popsicles together for a clever double pop or cutting out "melting" shapes from poster board and gluing them around the bottom to make it look like they’re melting.
