Upcycle your empty paperboard egg cartons into colorful hanging floral wall decor with this fun beginner-friendly craft that can be customized to suit your home’s existing decor.
You’ll need paperboard egg cartons to make the flowers; some twine, string, or clear fishing line; a narrow foot-long strip of wood; and different colored chalk or acrylic paints.
Cut out the egg carton recesses, trim the sides of each into petal shapes, paint them, then thread them onto lengths of twine, holding them in place with small stopper beads.
Add a bead or tassel at the end of each string, and tie the strings onto the wood strip. Glue single paper flowers along the top to hide the knots, then hang up your floral decor.
