DIY A Simple Wood Project To Store And Organize Kitchen Towels
By AMANDA ANTHONY
While there are many purely practical ways to organize kitchen towels, a wooden dish towel ladder doubles as beautiful country-style decor that sits on your kitchen countertop.
Simply saw a Dollar Tree 24-inch crafter's square wood hanger into three vertical planks. Use two as the outer rails, cut the third into three rungs, and glue them onto the rails.
Another method uses a square wood dowel ¾ inches by ¾ inches by 36 inches long, a round dowel ⅝ inches by ⅝ inches and 36 inches long, nails, glue, wood stain, a hammer, and a saw.
Cut the square dowel in half and the round one into thirds for the rungs. Glue the rungs onto the square board at equal intervals, secure them with nails, then apply the stain.
Decorate your ladder with paint, stencils, vinyl patterns, or ornaments. Place it on your countertop and lean it against the wall, then hang your tea towels over its rungs.
