Instead of cluttering up limited kitchen cabinet space with groceries, create your own cost-effective, spacious pantry cabinet by upgrading and repurposing an old-style TV armoire.
As most people are getting rid of their old TV cabinets, you can thrift one for almost nothing. You may need to do some repairs, like replace the back panel or tighten loose parts.
Next, give it a makeover to match your kitchen decor. Strip off the old paint, sand it, clean it thoroughly, then prime the surface before painting or staining it to your taste.
To customize it further, replace the hardware, stencil a pattern on the doors, and wallpaper the inside. Finally, add in shelves, various organizers, and motion sensor lighting.
