Clean Your Bathroom With These Simple Tips
By MELISSA NICHOLSON And ELLEN KERSHNER
Cleaning Tools You'll Need
The first thing you’ll need is a tapered toilet brush to scrub in and under the toilet rim. A grout brush is great to remove mildew from the tile joints and can get behind faucets.
Use a wider scrub brush to clean hard water stains and soap scum off surfaces. Keep a toothbrush, broom, floor vacuum, mop, rubber gloves, paper towels and microfiber cloths handy.
Bathroom Deep-Cleaning Products
Get a toilet bowl cleaner with a narrow end that can be directed up under the toilet rim. You should also have a sanitizing spray, a mold and mildew remover, and a glass cleaner.
Make an all-purpose bathroom cleaner by putting 2 tablespoons of dish soap, 1 tablespoon of baking soda, and an essential oil in a 16oz spray bottle, then fill it with warm water.
Start At The Top
Get a duster and hunt in the corners of the bathroom ceiling for cobwebs and dust. Climb up with a step stool or ladder and use a broom to knock down anything hiding up high.
Scrub the walls gently with mild dish soap, warm water, and a soft sponge. Flat, satin, and eggshell finishes rub off easily, but semi-gloss and gloss can endure harder scrubbing.

Unclog The Bathroom Fan
Carefully remove light covers and wash them with warm water or soak them in the kitchen sink, then replace the covers once they're dry. Dust off the light bulbs with a dry towel.
Locate the vent for the bathroom fan by turning on the fan and following your ear. Screw off the cover to wash it in your kitchen sink, or vacuum it with a hose to remove the dust.
See Yourself Better In The Mirror
If glass cleaner won’t clean your foggy mirror, mix half a cup of distilled water, half a cup of white vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in a spray bottle, then shake it up.
Dip a clean rag in some rubbing alcohol to get sticky spots off the mirror. Spray your mixed solution all over the mirror and dry it with a microfiber cloth until it’s streak free.
