TikTok user @ideias_do_dia_ created an elegant ladder-style set of floating shelves that are ideal for decluttering a small space and storing books, plants, or decorative items.
To build it, cut 15 wood planks to the desired shelf width, six planks to the shelf height, and four shelf planks. You’ll also need a screwdriver, screws, a stud finder, and paint.
Sand and paint all of your wood pieces, then construct the frame by screwing the 15 short lateral supports onto the six long vertical planks to create three ladder-style brackets.
Using a stud finder and a level, screw the frame into studs in the wall so that the three brackets sit at an equal height, forming a base on which the four shelves will rest.
Customize your shelves to suit your space by making them bigger or smaller, or by changing the number of shelves. You can also swap in plexiglass or glass for the shelves.
