Create A Stunning Centerpiece With Coffee Filters & Dollar Tree Bowls
By KRISTY BOWEN
As shown in a YouTube video, a bunch of coffee filters and two plastic bowls can easily be turned into a beautiful floral centerpiece using some hot glue, food coloring, and paint.
For this DIY, you’ll need two inexpensive Dollar Tree round bowls: one smaller and one larger. Once you have them, use spray or acrylic paint to paint them whatever color you like.
Once the paint is dry, use a circle of hot glue to attach the smaller of the two bowls, face down, to the bottom of the larger one. When dry, you’ll be left with a pedestal bowl.
Then, assemble stacks of up to six coffee filters. You can leave them as is, dip them in a mix of water and food coloring, or soak them in coffee or tea to mute the colors a bit.
Fold a stack in quarters and bunch the end together to make a flower, unfolding the layers until it's wide enough. Lastly, glue the flowers to the bowl’s surface until it's filled.
