If you can’t bear to get rid of your old books but they’re just gathering dust, turn them into a trendy display by bending the pages into artsy shapes and attaching them to a wall.
You'll need a lot of hardcover books — if you don’t have any you can use, source some from estate sales, charity stores, or flea markets. You'll also need a hole punch and nails.
Add some sparkle by brushing metallic or glitter paint onto the page edges before folding them, or mix some glitter into Elmer's glue and brush it gently across the pages.
To create the book artwork, bend 20-page sections into a loop shape (not a hard fold), alternating with 20-page sections folded into a triangle shape, all bent toward the spine.
You can also fold the tops of alternating 20-page sections into triangles or inverted triangles, or simply create only loops. Continue until the pages of all your books are done.
Create a display by punching a hole at the top of each book’s spine and hanging them on nails arranged artistically on your wall, along a staircase, or in a line above your bed.
