Bird droppings can easily tarnish the beauty of your pristine outdoor space. The good news is that there's a simple and effective solution right in your toolbox: WD-40.
Can of WD-40 on table
Due to its solvent properties, WD-40 effectively dissolves the proteins and other organic materials present in bird poop. This process softens the stains and loosens the bonds.
Sponge in hand with pink glove
Start by evenly spraying WD-40 onto the stain, letting it sit for one minute. Then, use a soft cloth, sponge, or non-abrasive brush to gently wipe or scrub the stained area.
Person with WD-40 in hand
For stubborn stains, simply repeat the process. Following successful cleaning, you may want to apply a thin layer of WD-40 to the cleaned surface for protection.

Keep in mind that WD-40 should only be used on metal and plastic, as it can cause stains on wooden surfaces. Also, ensure your worksite is properly ventilated before beginning.
