Avoid These Crucial Mistakes When Growing Zinnias In The Garden

Overwatering
Zinnias are a little finicky when it comes to their water routines. They require regular watering but aren't able to handle being overwatered continually.
Shade
Ideally, Zinnias are really the happiest with at least six hours of sunshine right on their buds and leaves as they are native to areas near the equator.
Intermixing
Zinnias can handle a lot of adversity, but can only do so much if they spend all the time fighting pests or diseases that have hitched a ride on neighboring plants.
Bees Allergies
Zinnias are excellent at attracting bees and are used as a nectar source by many insects. Fun if you love butterflies, but not if you are allergic to bee stings.
Insecticide
Broad-spectrum insecticides don't discriminate and can hurt already fragile bee and butterfly populations. It's best to avoid using insecticides in your yard.
