Attract Hummingbirds To Your Yard With This Vibrant Flowering Vine
By RACHEL CRAFT
Feeders are a common way of attracting hummingbirds, but an easier way is to fill your garden with plants these birds love, like mandevilla, also known as rocktrumpet.
Mandevilla is a tropical vine with long, trumpet-shaped flowers in white, pink, and red shades. These flowers are perfect for hummers because they fit their long, narrow beaks.
As the vine grows, it will allow them to feed higher off the ground and thus farther away from predators like cats, snakes, frogs, spiders, and praying mantises.
Mandevilla's twisting stems and foliage give sheltered perches for hummers. They typically feed every 10 to 15 minutes and need frequent rest for their fast-moving wings.
