Are You Using Enough Laundry Pods In Each Load?
By TRINITY ARCHIE
When it comes to using laundry pods, it's essential to strike the right balance to ensure your clothes come out clean without damaging them or your washing machine.
The rule of thumb is to use one pod for small to medium loads, two for large loads, and up to three for extra large loads, such as those containing oversized bedding.
However, these recommendations can vary depending on the specifics of your washing machine and the detergent brand, so checking the packaging for instructions is advisable.
Laundry pods are way more concentrated than traditional detergents, so you can't base the number of pods needed on the amount of liquid detergent you're accustomed to using.
Overusing laundry pods can lead to excess detergent buildup, making clothes stiff and less clean. It may even clog the machine's drains, potentially leading to
costly repairs.
For the best results, always place the pods directly into the drum of your washing machine before adding your laundry, regardless of whether your machine is front or top-loading.
