Add This Type Of Textured Plant To Your Garden That Hummingbirds Enjoy
By AMANDA FINN
In an exclusive interview with House Digest, Marlene Pantin, the plants for birds partnerships manager at the National Audubon Society, recommends specific plants to draw hummers.
According to Pantin, hummingbirds love soft-textured plants since "[p]lants with a fuzzier texture, like cinnamon fern, pussy willow, thistle, and dandelion, are good for nesting."
In addition to these fuzzy plants, native species such as anise hyssop, cardinal flower, and spotted and red bee balm are particularly appealing to hummingbirds.
Pantin explains that these plants provide both the texture and nectar that hummers seek, making them a valuable addition to any garden aimed at inviting these delightful creatures.
