To get around the high cost of a professionally installed fence, build one yourself using repurposed materials. This easy DIY uses reclaimed doors to create a quirky rustic fence.
This fence is best for a small area or as a decorative privacy screen; otherwise, you’ll need to collect a lot of vintage doors to span the length of the area you’d like to fence.
Give your doors a coat of matte outdoor-rated sealer to protect them from the elements, then install the posts and cross beam supports, and secure the doors to the cross beams.
If you prefer a more uniform, modern appearance, find an affordable solid wood exterior door in either a flat slab or clean paneled look to use instead of the reclaimed doors.
