Experience

Nicole has worked as a journalist for nearly two decades, covering travel, home, garden, and farming for publications like The Boston Globe, Edible Vineyard, Fresh, and Culture: The Cheese Magazine. She is currently the Director of Special Projects at Mashable, where she's worked for almost nine years. From 2007 to 2012 she was a digital content producer for Boston.com/The Boston Globe. As a flower farmer, Nicole plants more than 2,000 tulip and daffodil bulbs each fall and cultivates a field of some 100 peonies for her yearly CSA subscribers. She is especially obsessed with growing ranunculus, which she begins by soaking the corms each February in her basement. In addition to gardening, Nicole is a home decor junkie who has been dedicated to curating her interior design Pinterest boards since 2011. She is currently in the process of redecorating her circa-1940 Cape-style home, one room at a time.
