Experience

Michelle's writing experience began in college as a communications student, writing and reporting local news before becoming a campus weather reporter. After college, she moved to New York City, where she built a career in advertising and marketing for 15 years before dedicating the next few years to travel. From the iconic streets of New York to the sunny shores of Florida, the jagged coast of Maine to the rugged terrain of Colorado, she's been fortunate to call some of America's most beautiful states home. Extensive travel across Southeast Asia and Europe taught Michelle to integrate her life experience into every home she's lived in. Beyond the U.S., Michelle's wanderlust has taken her on a motorcycle journey through India, led her to teach English in Hanoi, and saw her studying Spanish in Guatemala. Michelle has written over 1,000 travel articles focused on the best hidden gems in New England. Her writing and photography also earned her a spot in a Cathay Pacific-sponsored storyteller's workshop in Hong Kong.

Education

Michelle has a degree in advertising from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
