For House Digest, Kristy has written extensively about design and DIY projects, with a heavy favor toward upcycling, repurposing, and decorating with vintage and antiques. She has written arts, culture, and lifestyle content for a number of publications and websites, including Worthpoint, Thriftcon, E-How, Cozymeal, and Homes.com. She blogs about writing, art, vintage style, and other miscellany at Dulcetly: Notes On A Bookish Life on Blogspot. A writer and book artist who creates a series of zines, artist's books, and paper goods, she is the author of several collections of poetry. Bowen is currently at work on a memoir that marries two of her favorite pursuits-- writing and thrifting.

Education

Kristy holds and MFA in creative writing from Columbia College and an M.A. in English literature from DePaul University.
