  • She ghostwrote two bestselling interior design books: "Doug's Rooms: Transforming Your Space One Room at a Time," for Doug Wilson of TLC's "Trading Spaces," and "Thom Filicia Style: Inspired Ideas for Creating Rooms You'll Love," for "Queer Eye's" Thom Filicia.

Experience

Kathleen has been a lifestyle journalist for over two decades, specializing in design, interiors, decor trends, and fashion. She has held senior editorial positions at numerous NYC-based magazines, including Good Housekeeping and House Beautiful. While she was the style editor at Budget Living, the publication won the National Magazine Award for General Excellence. Her portfolio includes cover stories, long-form features, profiles, service packages, gift guides, product round-ups, DIY how-tos, and coverlines. She's also moderated panel discussions with leading industry designers, creatives, and style makers. When she's not on deadline, Kathleen attends plays, lectures, and gallery openings. She's also training to be a docent at the Carnegie Museum of Art.

Education

Kathleen graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in English and art history. She was the editor of the campus literary magazine, a humor columnist for the student newspaper, and a style section stringer for the local newspaper.
