Emily has worked as a professional writer and designer since 2003. She was a design editor at Paste Magazine, covering stories ranging from handmade holiday gifts to the release of an R2D2 mini fridge. Over the years, Emily honed her design aesthetic through roles with notable brands like Amazon, Nintendo, and Serta. She joined Static Media as a House Digest news writer to cover stories about eco-friendly living, increasing biodiversity in outdoor spaces, and upcycling ideas for the home.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
