High-end brownstones and penthouse apartments in luxurious buildings are often what come to mind when it comes to NYC properties with multi-million dollar price tags. For beachfront property, you typically have to venture a bit further out into New York state, right? Well, not exactly, as a property that recently was put up for a private luxury auction demonstrates.

Ukrainian millionaire Edward Geyman, CEO of glass-making company Carvart and founder of the recently established liquor brand Laneta Tequila, recently placed his stunning Queens beachfront property up for auction, as per New York Post. As the publication reports, it seems Geyman is interested in securing a "unique buyer" for the property, and interested parties in the market for a luxury property can get their bidding paddle ready for the private auction, which will be taking place on April 27.

Though the home isn't in the heart of Manhattan, the beachfront location and proximity to so many New York landmarks means the price and auction-style sale will likely be appealing to many potential buyers. Plus, in addition to those gorgeous ocean views, there's also plenty of space — the home spans 6,500 square feet with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. A unique location

The home is located on what the Compass listing deems "the most exclusive street in Neponsit," and the neighbors are a series of likewise breathtaking properties. The picturesque beach is just steps away, and though there aren't acres upon acres of green space, there is some thoughtful landscaping for greenery and privacy, as well as a fenced-in front yard for those who want to enjoy the sunshine out in the yard. However, there are also a series of balconies along the exterior of the home and several eye-catching architectural features on the facade for enjoying the ocean air. The Colonial-style property also makes the most of its somewhat compact footprint by stretching upwards rather than outwards, towering over many of its neighboring properties with its 37-foot height.

The property does come with beach and ocean access, but if you're not in the mood to splash around in the Atlantic, there's also a private in-ground pool. Additionally, a rarity for any New York City property, there's parking — an attached garage with two spaces. Perhaps one of the biggest selling points of the property, however, is the large rooftop deck. It's surrounded by a simple iron railing that leaves the views unobstructed, and depending on which way you're facing, you can either marvel at the majesty of the Atlantic ocean or gaze out at the New York City skyline.

Grandeur throughout

The moment you walk through the towering arched double doors into the home's entry, you're greeted by luxurious details as far as the eye can see, as photos from the Compass listing demonstrate. The grand foyer features gorgeous mosaic tile flooring from Lebanon, and there's a curved marble staircase with a railing that makes a serious style statement, combining solid walnut with intricate wrought iron. The windows near the foyer all feature beautiful stained glass detailing, and a breathtaking chandelier hangs down from the ceiling on the upper levels, truly showing off the home's towering stature.

Just to the side of the grand entry is a formal living room with an ornate fireplace, herringbone hardwood flooring, paneling on the walls that add an extra touch of luxury, as well as opulent chandeliers featuring bronze and crystals. Large curved windows with Juliette balconies fill the space with light. Moving through the main floor, it's just a few steps to a formal dining room that likewise features plenty of stunning details, such as the unique millwork along the crown molding and around the chandelier hanging above the dining room table.

Also located on the main floor is an eat-in kitchen — and there are even a few chandeliers there, as well as stained glass windows offering beauty and privacy. The Italian-made wood cabinetry features delicate millwork that transforms the space into a work of art, as well as mosaic detailing on the floors, a spacious island, and high-end appliances.

The perfect way to wake up — or wind down

If being greeted by the sight and sound of the ocean sounds like the perfect way to wake up, the master suite is one you won't want to miss. As per the Compass listing, the room carries on many of the features found throughout the home's main floor, such as millwork along the crown molding, arched doorways and columns, and herringbone flooring. The homeowner has taken advantage of the views by placing a bathtub right near a set of massive floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can enjoy sunrise or sunset views while soaking. And there's also a glass door that opens out onto a balcony. However, the bathtub is just a luxurious addition — the master suite also features an ensuite bathroom with marble flooring, a vintage-inspired vanity, a huge walk-in shower, and (of course) another chandelier and coordinating wall sconces.

Thanks to the unique shape of the home, there are also a few little corners where you can set up a sunny retreat — the current homeowner has used them for fitness spaces, for example, positioning a treadmill in front of a massive window with ocean views. The home's other amenities include an indoor spa and sauna, a wine cellar, private elevator, and a large games room with pool table.
