Joe Perry From Aerosmith Just Sold His Massachusetts Farm For $4.5 Million

Lead guitarist of Aerosmith, Joe Perry, has sold his striking farm home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, for $4.5 million, according to realtor.com. Perry bought the home back in 1988 for $395,000, walking away with a hefty profit in his pocket. It had been on the market since September 2021, per realtor.com, waiting for the perfect family to come along. Sitting on about seven acres in the Brook Haven Farm gated community, the new owners will have privacy and security all around.

Perry had a recording studio where Aerosmith wrote numerous hit songs, including "Livin' on the edge" and "Cryin," according to DailyMail. He also had other music artists visit his estate, such as Lenny Kravitz, Desmond Child, Diane Warren, and Johnny Johnson (who is Chuck Berry's piano player). Perry takes all his memories made in his home to a new location ready to make new ones. The farmhouse was sold by Jane and Bert Koelsch of Coldwell Banker Realty-Scituate, per DailyMail.

Guest house with heated pool

Located on an expansive lot surrounded by trees and grass, the farmhouse has a main house and a guest house just off to the side. The main house was designed with a brick exterior and green trim, setting up the feel for the home, peaceful and ethereal. A stone pond leads to one of the entrances of the main house right next to the four-car garage, which sprawls in front of a massive driveway, according to DailyMail. There are beautiful stone walkways that lead in and out of the home.

The cobblestone guest house has its own outdoor pool perfect for relaxing. Lounging chairs line up around the pool, which can also be heated for colder days. Since the farmhouse is far from other homes, there are also random lawn chairs placed all over the grassy space. Nearby there's a horse stable with a fence around it to keep the horses from roaming.

Rustic to mid-century modern

The five-bedroom main house sits on 2.5 acres and has four and a half bathrooms, per the listing. With a total of 14 rooms, the farmhouse has a serene cabin-like feel when you walk into it. The walls are lined with wood panels, hardwood floors, and simple furniture. The living room has its own stone fireplace, gray furniture, and beautiful white cabinets that give the rustic home an elevated look. There's a wooden staircase that leads to the second floor. Walking through the main floor, there's a sitting room filled with more gray furniture; it's more modern than the rest of the home and has a flat-screen television with a projector hanging from the ceiling.

The kitchen has gorgeous white cabinets lining every wall with stainless steel appliances, a stunning glass countertop island, and wood panel flooring, according to the listing. Throughout the entire home, there are multiple massive windows allowing natural light to pour in and brighten up every room. The dining room shares space with the kitchen, which includes a long wooden dining table with white dining chairs and another stone fireplace close by. Adjacent to the kitchen is another sitting room that has floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding it for outdoor views.

White interior bedrooms

Every bedroom has its own stone fireplace and a white interior with beautiful white furniture. The master bedroom has a separate room as a closet with multiple wardrobe centers to store everything. The master bathroom has two separate sinks, a beige cushion lounge chair, and a marble-style bathtub. The guest house has three bedrooms and one bathroom, per DailyMail, that has a mid-century modern feel to it. One of the bedrooms has a soft baby blue interior with white bedding and oak wood furniture.

A few other amenities the main house has are its own fitness center, an entertainment room with a pool table, and an open floor layout on the second floor that overlooks the entire property. One of the exercise rooms has been remodeled and moved up to a higher floor of the house. A studio also takes place in the main house, which they named The Boneyard where Aerosmith would write their songs, per DailyMail.
