The Silicon Valley Mansion That Is On Sale For A Record $110 Million
Stretching from the city of Baymont around the south end of San Francisco all the way down to San Jose is California's Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley is a massive tech hub, home to some of the largest and most popular tech companies in the world, like Apple, Google, and Facebook. The area is also known for the major university campuses that are stationed there, like Stanford (per Visit California). But beyond the many attractions that accompany these massive companies and popular universities, living within the boundaries of Silicon Valley is a luxury.
A home within Silicon Valley costs a median of $1 million, according to Insider, and is one of the most expensive places to live in the United States. Even goods and services within this area are sold at nearly a 27% higher cost than the national average. Bringing luxury living to an extreme, a new home within Silicon Valley was recently added to the market, with an asking price of approximately $110 million. Put into perspective, the previous record sale within Silicon Valley was $43.5 million, which is less than half of this new home's asking price. If this new $110 million estate sells, it will bring luxury living in Silicon Valley to a whole new level (per New York Post). Here is what we know so far about the property.
Exterior of the property
The newly built home is located at 890 Mountain Home Road, Woodside, California 94062, on a patch of over 3 acres of land. The house takes up a total of 14,000 square feet and has the beautiful design of a luxury Italian villa. A small guest house is also included on the property.
Taking luxury living to even newer levels, a 65-foot private pool is also present on the property, as mentioned by New York Post. Accompanying the pool and accommodating a variety of outdoor lovers is an outdoor entertainment center. The center is finished with both an outdoor kitchen and fire pit. Filling out the rest of the property are landscaped gardens, with the inclusion of a decorative garden. The vineyard has over forty olive trees and the rose garden over a hundred roses. Completing the outdoor experience, the home also has a private hiking trail that weaves throughout the property.
Inside the house
Compass stated that the main house on the property is a two-level home and is complete with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. One particular suite, located on the main level of the home, is the pinnacle room of the house. It presents a spacious area with plenty of storage and wardrobe space, as well as a gorgeous marble bathroom set for two. There are also some smaller suits in the same proximity that would be perfect for children.
Aside from the bedrooms, there is also a large screening room, a 6,000-bottle wine salon, and two kitchens (one main kitchen and one personal chef kitchen). The house also comes with plenty of entertaining space for hosting parties and gatherings (per Dancer Premier Properties). Separate from the main house, however, are even more amenities, like a two-bedroom guest house, an office and conference center, and a fitness center with a built-in hair salon (per New York Post).
Luxuries inside the home
Aside from the property being brand new, never used before, there are a variety of elements added to the $110 million home that define luxury living and make the home worth the value that it is. First and foremost is the screening room. This space is home to a 14.4 Atmos Dolby screening room, which are state-of-the-art screening rooms that are used by filmmakers to create and present their work, according to Dolby Professional. There is a lounge specifically made-up to be a golf simulator, not to mention the high-tech systems controlling all aspects of the home automatically (per New York Post).
Beyond technology, the house is also decked with elements like retractable glass walls, French oak and limestone floors, hand-plastered walls and ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and marble fireplaces, all of which represent a billionaire's lifestyle. Even the kitchen is equipped with some of the best kitchenware brands, like Wolf and Sub-Zero. The home also wouldn't be complete without a garage large enough to fit a total of six vehicles (per Compass).
