This Florida Mansion Owned By Donald Trump Just Upped Its Asking Price
There is no doubt that the real estate market is ever-changing; prices of homes seem to rise and fall at the drop of a hat. The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically influenced how people are buying and selling their homes and how much they have to spend, and better or worse it doesn't look like the market is slowing down anytime soon.
Donald Trump, former president and co-author of "Trump: Art of the Deal," has entered the unpredictable real estate market yet again with a mansion that he briefly listed a year ago, according to the New York Post. But this time the price tag has dramatically increased. The spacious Palm Beach, Florida estate located at 1125 S. Ocean Boulevard was originally owned by Donald's sister, Maryanne Trump Barry. Then in 2018, it was purchased by 1125 South Ocean LLC — a company run by Donald's sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump — for $18.5 million, according to Mansion Global. So let's look and see what makes the property worth the new asking price.
Outside of the Florida mansion for sale
Located in sunny Florida near the former president's other home at Mar-a-Lago, this ocean-front mansion sits on under an acre of land with overall square footage of 10,455 feet, according to the listing handled by real estate company Lawrence A. Moens Associates, Inc. Built in 1956, the mansion has a scenic view of the ocean, complete with 194 feet of sandy beach (sorry, no dock). The home is hugged by luscious green foliage and was built with whitewashed stucco cement block with a tiled roof. There are also multiple relaxing spaces outside where you can enjoy the sunshine, and if ocean swimming is not your thing, you can take a dip in the outdoor pool.
Originally the property was being sold for $49 million back in March of 2021. However, after two months the listing was removed, according to the New York Post. Fast forward to February 2022 and the same mansion is back up for sale, but now you need to shell out $59 million in order to call this sunny property home, per Mansion Global.
Inside of the Florida mansion for sale
Donald Trump and the Trump kids are no strangers to having large, lavish interiors in their homes, and this beachside residence is no different from any of the others. As you walk inside of the two-story, eight-bedroom, eight-bathroom single-dwelling home, you are treated to large floor-to-ceiling windows in nearly every room, most with an amazing view of the ocean. According to MSN, the receiving room opens out to the patio through a pair of doors, showing off a luxury fireplace and super high ceilings. Those shuttered doors are kept open to let in all of the luxurious natural light that bounces off of the soft sand and white-colored walls.
The sprawling 8,269 square feet of living space boasts a variety of lavish marble, carpeted, and parquet flooring. The interior also features a wet bar, large kitchen, dining room, pantry, as well as a library for safe measures.
Upstairs at the Florida mansion for sale
As you stroll up the sprawling staircase to the second floor of Donald Trump's mansion, you will find multiple bedrooms, each with the same large picturesque windows. Wall-to-wall carpeting is patterned and tastefully done in the same creamy white tones to encourage reflection of the natural light. The upstairs living spaces have ample room for you to sit back and enjoy the view. There is also a spacious terrace that sits in the middle of the home's two wings, according to the National Post.
If sitting around the home and enjoying the views becomes too tiresome, the potential new owner fortunately can enjoy a membership at a local golf club, which is conveniently located nearby. Whether or not these amenities are worth the extra $10 million price boost, the residence is available — if you don't mind shelling out the extra cash in order to soak up the sun of a beachside property.
