Inside The Luxurious Mansions Of Cooper Kupp From The L.A. Rams
Cooper Kupp, the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver with a $47 million contract at hand, has indulged in his real estate impulses by purchasing two gorgeous properties for $6.6 million. The second-bought property, which is larger and more expensive than the other estate, was purchased for $4.1 million and is located in a guard-gated Westlake Village community. Kupp was represented by real estate agent Barbara Preston of Coldwell Banker.
Westlake Village is known for its celebrity residents, including WWE star The Miz, actress Heather Locklear, Disney CEO Bob Chapek, and YouTube star Trisha Paytas, who lives in a recently purchased residence across the street from Kupp's new home. According to Dirt, the approximately 7,000-square-foot estate was built in 1992 and boasts Mediterranean-inspired architecture with the interiors featuring a relatively contemporary makeover, with white paint and wide-plank wood flooring. The house-flipping seller and broker Martha Azizi, who also owned the listing on the property, scraped out a $1.1 million profit on the sale to Kupp, except for the cost of upgrades and taxes, after she bought it in March 2020 for $3 million.
An impressive all-white interior
The property's main floor has a fireplace-equipped living room, which is currently configured as a clubby gaming room, and a dining room with an arched ceiling. The main floor has a large family area as well, which also functions as a playroom for kids and an office with tailored built-ins and a wet bar.
But the rebuilt chef's kitchen, which includes high-end Wolf and SubZero appliances and a separate butler's pantry, is even more unique, as well as the large laundry room meant for souvenirs storage. The laundry room includes a gas dryer hookup, gas and electric dryer hookup, and an individual room.
The 2-story residence has five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, while the massive apartment-sized master suite has a sitting area, fireplace, and French doors leading to a private balcony. According to the listing, the luxurious "bathroom retreat" has a standalone tub and separate gym space, as well as double walk-in closets.
A dramatic foyer with a premium hotel entrance
The home's most distinguishing feature is the large porte-cochere overhang at the front door, which is eerily similar to the entranceways of many premium hotels. In addition, a large foyer with dual curved staircases greets visitors through double front doors, and the landscaping in the back is simple, with old olive trees providing shade to the steep hillside. You can see inside the home in the Zillow listing.
The spacious pool and spa are surrounded by a wraparound concrete patio, which also includes a cabana with an outdoor fireplace and built-in BBQ, as well as a poolside bathroom. The lengthy driveway and spacious motor court are impressive enough, but the homeowners also have access to a four-car attached garage.
Records show Kupp and his wife Anne spent another $2.5 million on a huge estate in Wilsonville, Oregon, roughly 20 minutes south of Portland by car, just before buying their new Westlake Village property. Even though the Kupps bought the house off-market, tax records show that the almost 5,500-square-foot brick mansion has five bedrooms and 5.5 baths. A guesthouse/garage building and a converted barn that now serves as an indoor sports arena with a full-size tennis/basketball court are also included on the 4.1-acre wooded land.
