Take A Peek Inside Zooey Deschanel And Jonathan Scott's Dream Home

Actress Zooey Deschanel and her boyfriend, Jonathan Scott of HGTV's "Property Brothers," have recently unveiled their new Los Angeles home. Located in Brentwood, Scott revealed that the house was built in 1938 by famous architect Gerard Colcord in Reveal magazine. The house is colonial style, and the New York Post reports it has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Deschanel and Scott purchased the house in July of 2020 for $9.5 million, and spent the past year and a half renovating the residence. The house is more than 6,300 square feet, and includes a tennis court, gazebo, swimming pool, and finished guest house. It is surrounded by sycamore trees, and when the couple brought Deschanel's children to see the house for the first time, they deemed the abode the "Park House" because of that. "It sat on a little over an acre, and with its lush lawn and massive California sycamores, it looked like a park," Scott writes.

Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott's dream home reveal to come

Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott have deemed the house their forever home, reports the New York Post, though Scott was reluctant to permanently relocate to Los Angeles. In Reveal magazine, Scott writes that he didn't think of himself as "an L.A. guy," but describes Deschanel as "a native Angeleno" and details her love for the city. "The more she showed me her Los Angeles — the parks she went to growing up, the neighborhoods where she made memories with her closest friends — the more I found myself in love with an Angeleno, and with L.A., too," he explained.

The couple is yet to reveal the residence, with Scott writing that he wants the reveal to be perfect. He goes on to describe the house as having a heavy design influence from Deschanel, calling it, and her, "beautiful, eclectic, and wonderfully unique." And while the property has been partially revealed in the winter edition of Reveal magazine, a final expose is yet to be unveiled.
