In a post shared to her Instagram, the interior designer and entrepreneur, showcased a simple floral arrangement using a Mason jar with some freshly picked flowers in it. As many of us know, Gaines has a large garden at her home that she often showcases in her content, which is where these flowers likely came from. What's interesting is how she created a beautiful flower arrangement with a simple mason jar upgrade using gorgeous roses from her garden, and placing this on her countertop. It's certainly not the first time that she has used a clear glass jar for decor, but the simplicity of this arrangement is what makes it pop and allows the roses to be the star. And, it's something that any of us can do with our own flowers.

Even if you don't have a Mason jar in your collection, they are relatively easy to find at thrift stores, grocery retailers, and online. In fact, you can find  a case of 36 Ball Mason Jars with lids and bands for around $76. This would actually give you plenty of jars to use for decor or actual canning, which is something else that Gaines does with her own jars.

Over the years, Joanna Gaines has showcased how she uses Ball Mason Jars in many different ways in her home, as well as in the finishing touches of other renovations and makeovers. And, it's not just as a vase for fresh flowers. We have also seen her use Mason jars as decorative storage options, much like a popular hack that creates extra bathroom storage space. As part of one "Mini Reni" she did, we can see Ball jars being used to hold items such as pens and paintbrushes, as well as feathers and pinecones. Not only does it add a decorative touch to a display, but it also adds more storage to the space as well.

Even in her own kitchen, Gaines uses the Mason jar as a decorative storage option. While she regularly uses these jars for preserving fruits, she also stores honey and other pantry staples, such as dry goods, in them. Basically, these jars are extremely versatile both in and out of the kitchen, and you'll find that the Mason jar is a gamechanger for cluttered kitchen cabinets. In fact, having these glass jars on display can add a bit of a rustic vibe to the space, which may work well with the rest of the room's aesthetic.
