Is The Eufy Omni E Series A Smarter Way To Clean?

Cleaning up dirty floors has come a long way from sweeping with a basic broom and struggling to get every bit of dirt into the dustpan. Even toting a heavy bucket of water to mop and having to wash the mophead afterwards is becoming a thing of the past. Now, you don't even have to be present for crumbs and spills to vanish. At Anker Day 2025, we saw firsthand the latest innovation in automated cleaning with the eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E28. It's the world's first robot vac with a portable deep cleaner.

The Omni E28 is a 2-in-1 cleaning machine. The deep cleaner attachment operates separately from the robot vacuum. So while the robotic cleaner handles all the surface floor messes, we can enjoy the satisfying feeling of lifting muddy footprints from stair treads or pulling coffee spills out of throw pillows. It's like having an extra set of hands. Plus, with the HydroJet technology, you might consider it a 3-in-1 device because it mops your hardwood and tile too. Also unveiled at the product launch was the eufy Omni E25. It has the same capabilities as the E28 minus the detachable deep cleaner. Both models spoil us with convenience, making them a top smart home product for even stubbornly analog people.

The eufy Omni E28 and E25 notable features

The new E28 and E25 models really seem to solve all of the hidden downsides to robot vacuums. "We designed this based on our reviews from the real customers," Ida He, Eufy's software product manager told House Digest. The company conducted multiple interviews while developing the device, so the E series was created with the consumer in mind. Hence all the practical features, including a DuoSpiral no-tangle brush, auto-extending arms to tackle corners, and a self-cleaning system.

What's most impressive is the AI integration. The Omni vacs map your home, avoiding obstacles, choosing the most efficient cleaning route, identifying messes, and adjusting their settings according to the type of mess that needs tidying. We watched the latest Omni in action as it seamlessly moved from a rug to hardwood floor, cleaning corners without mindlessly bumping into them, and avoiding a one-sided slipper and some scattered phone chargers on the floor. Plus, you can set schedule cleans in the app. That means the device can be programmed to automatically clean the kitchen after dinnertime or vacuum before you get home from work so you enter a tidy house.

Maybe a little better than the AI stuff is the self-cleaning system. The built-in scraper removes debris and dirty water from the roller mop. Water also continuously rinses the roller mop and there's separate tanks for the clean and dirty water. So you might find yourself cleaning your robot vacuum less frequently with this new model. Plus, the first-of-its-kind detachable deep cleaner means you can still tackle any messes the robot isn't smart enough to handle itself. At least we're still the dominant species (for now).

Is the eufy Robot Vacuum right for you?

Anyone can benefit from this robot vacuum — it takes one more thing off your to-do list. But those with a high-maintenance household will probably feel the advantages of the Omni E series most. "It is perfectly designed for your pet family or... [a] family with kids," Ida He, Eufy's software product manager explained. "Because it can deal with any floor messes, not only the carpet but hardwood floors — everything."

All those perks do come at a cost. The eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E28 is $999.99. That said, you can forgo the portable deep cleaner and save as the Omni E25 is $899.99 (currently on pre-sale and set to hit markets in June). The price is comparable to other models that feature wet and dry functions with a self-cleaning system and AI integration... although you won't find the portable deep cleaner anywhere else. If you only have wall-to-wall carpet or rarely spot clean, then the added HydroJet and detachable deep cleaner functions probably won't get much use. A more traditional eufy model might be a better fit.
