Give Your Sinks A Spring Refresh With An Adorable Dollar Tree DIY

Spring is the time to refresh and revitalize. New growth in your garden, a good, deep clean in your home, and, of course, new (or at least upgraded) décor. To give your sink a little springtime DIY boost, all you need are some charms, faux florals, embellishments from your local Dollar Tree, and a see-through bottle of soap to create decorative, aquarium-style dispensers in the sweetest seasonal designs.

The great thing about Dollar Tree is you can do anything with its items, from turning cutting boards into hanging storage to creating seasonal décor on a budget. Plus, any DIY or hack that doesn't require a lot of money, and reuses items such as soap bottles, seems like a worthwhile endeavor. In fact, you may use this Dollar Tree hack for every season, altering the supplies you need to fit the color themes and holidays. When shopping for your floating décor, you can get creative with your purchases. Pick up some fake florals such as artificial hyacinth bushes, faux green foliage, or similar blooms that can be detached or have trimmable stems so they fit in your bottle. Should you need new soap bottles, Dollar Tree's Softsoap is a great option because the stickers come off fairly easily for a blank "canvas," but any clear bottles you already have should work just fine if you can remove the labels. You can also reuse old jars to elevate your bathroom and try this hack with those.

Create spring-themed designs in your soap bottles

Before inserting all of your items, it's worth adding a small piece of each to check if any dye or paint comes off in the soap. As long as the materials don't turn your soap a different color, you can then use tweezers, chopsticks, or even a butter knife to add your decorations into the liquid. Because of the viscous texture of the soap, they should all remain where you add them until you finish off the bottle.

If you want to get really creative, you could create spring motifs using florals, beads, charms, and even small figurines off of Amazon or from your local craft store. Think bunnies, mini-carrot charms, and faux moss. Check the craft and kid's sections of Dollar Tree for decorative beads and charms that work inside your soap, too. To elevate this DIY even more, spend a little extra on glass bottles that match so you can use them in every bathroom and your kitchen; maybe buy matching lotion bottles and decorate the labels to match the soap bottles. You could even thrift vases to DIY your own soap bottles and try this craft with those, too!
