Turn A Pool Noodle Into A Stylish Springtime Chandelier

You're probably already familiar with some of the many pool noodle DIYs floating around, but did you know you can use the popular toy to create surprisingly elegant home decor for spring? Believe it or not, you can turn a pool noodle into a stylish chandelier that features flowers and greenery in just a few steps. To start out, cut one of the long foam noodles into a shorter size. You can then fold that shorter piece in half, keeping it secured into place with zip ties. Lastly, stick lush faux greenery and flowers right into the foam by their plastic stems.

Use a string of pearls or decorative rope to hang the chandelier from the ceiling. This is the perfect way to decorate with nature in your home without having to worry about caring for living plants. This trick is also super affordable. In fact, you can snag most of the supplies you'll need from Dollar Tree for only $1.25 each, such as the Nylon Cable Ties, a Foam Pool Noodle, and the Artificial Summer Dahlias. If you're a craft enthusiast, you likely already own decorative string or rope you could use to hang the chandelier. Using supplies you have at home drops the overall cost of materials even lower. Let's dive further into how to build this stylish chandelier for spring.

Craft your own springtime chandelier in just a few steps

To create your chandelier, start out by cutting your pool noodle in half with a serrated bread knife. Although this step is not shown in @katty_ferretti's video, you probably noticed that a full sized pool noodle was not used for this project. After completing that step, you can move on to folding the pool noodle piece in half and securing it with your zip ties. Next, pull your rope or string through the zip ties and tie it at the top so that you can use it to hang your chandelier when you're done. If you like the elegance of the string of pearls shown in the video, consider recreating that look with the PMLAND Spools White Pearls. Alternatively, you might prefer something a bit more earthy, such as the Vanhench Store Jute Rope.

Once you've attached your hanging material of choice, you are ready to add greenery and flowers to your chandelier. You could use the ZEOSTARO Fake Boston Ferns and the aforementioned Artificial Summer Dahlias from Dollar Tree to build a lush faux plant display similar to the one shown in the video. Feel free to put your own spin on the chandelier. You could fill it with only flowers or greenery rather than a combination of both. Fun add-ins like plastic butterflies or ribbon would make this DIY spring decor a bit more whimsical. When you're done and ready to hang your chandelier, attach a self-adhesive hook to your ceiling and hang it from there.
