This Stunning Benjamin Moore Paint Color Is The Perfect Crisp White Alternative

Classrooms, dental offices, hospitals, new homes. These are just a few of the places that often feature walls with crisp white paint. While typically considered a "safe" color in a home, one that can match with pretty much anything, it's certainly not the only neutral color option. In fact, there are many popular paint shades that are even better than flat white. House Digest spoke with Hannah Yeo, the senior manager of color marketing at Benjamin Moore, during an exclusive interview about an alternative to your standard flat white paint: Swiss Coffee OC-45.

Yeo describes the color as "richer, creamier, and softer than a crisp white" that's "an ideal all-around color." It doesn't necessarily have to replace any existing crisp white walls in your home, though; the ivory-like tone can complement any lighter paint shade you currently have, creating a layered appearance. "Neither too soft nor too stark, this versatile hue is perfect for both interior and exterior surfaces," she added.

Most standard light bulbs produce white light, but there are different shades, including warm, natural, and cool. The shade you choose dictates the overall ambience of the room. The shade of white paint you choose is no different. "Swiss Coffee OC-45 is an essential white offering just the right amount of warmth," Yeo said. "A subtle hint of gray undertone adds softness and elegance, while the creamy hue brings a welcoming warmth." Think of it as the best of both worlds amongst neutral paint colors for a relaxing home.

Where to use Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee OC-45 in your home

When you consider Swiss Coffee's balance of undertones, you'll find it suitable for any room, whether you have a contemporary, modern farmhouse style, or elegant boho theme, according to Yeo, who spoke exclusively with House Digest to discuss this neutral paint color. It pairs well with virtually any color scheme, including blue gray and navy, sage green and clay accents, or jade green and barn red. In addition to room walls, it can be used on entryway walls to create a "clean, yet welcoming first impression."

But walls aren't the only part of your home that could benefit from this stunning off-white paint. "Swiss Coffee is [also] an excellent choice for kitchen cabinets," Yeo said. She added that it matches well with Yarmouth Blue HC-150 walls "for a relaxed and charming kitchen atmosphere." Also, as one of the brand's top-selling off-white exterior paints, it "pairs seamlessly with a variety of architectural styles." She added that it "enhances the natural surroundings, complementing shades like perennial greens and slate blues to terra cotta reds and sunny yellows."

Although Swiss Coffee OC-45 launched more than two years ago, it can be a fresh, new color in your home or on the exterior of your property. It gives you the option to brighten a dark room while adding warmth or complement other colors while giving your space an upgrade you'll want to show off.
