Keep Keurig K-Cup Coffee Pods Organized With A Cute & Affordable Dollar Tree DIY
Keurig K-Cup pods are a convenient way to get your cup of joe each morning, but they can also become cumbersome to organize, especially if you start buying a variety of boxes from Keurig's extensive flavor library. This is luckily an issue you can start to solve by building your coffee station a DIY K-Cup pod holder after a quick trip to Dollar Tree.
This DIY coffee pod organization craft is a cheap and easy way to get better use out of your Keurig. The only materials you need to pick up are some Crafter's Square Wooden Decor Boxes and a bag of Natural Craft Sticks, both of which retail for $1.25 each. While those decor boxes each come with unique designs on the lid, these will ultimately not be visible. You're going to flip that lid over, and then square-off your popsicle sticks with a pair of scissors (or an X-Acto knife, if you prefer) so they're the perfect length to cover the lid's width. Glue the sticks in so they make four quadrants over the lid, and it should be the perfect size and depth to store four K-Cup pods per organizer. The idea is simple, but leaves plenty of room for customization.
How to make your DIY K-Cup pod organizer match your living space
If you want your DIY K-Cup organizer to properly fit your space, Dollar Tree offers plenty more art supplies that can uplift this project. Any number of arts and crafts styles could be used to decorate the lid and craft sticks, including basic paint, paper collages, or repurposed pipe cleaners for a bit of extra texture. One nice thing about this coffee pod craft is how easily the main square box material can be scaled to hold more K-Cups by gluing the lids together. Depending on how much space you're working with, using just four individual box lids you can create a larger 4x4 grid or keep building out vertically for something like a 2x8 grid.
While the K-Cup pod organizer is certainly small enough to fit your cabinet drawers, that's not the only option available. Another easy addition you can make to your project is gluing a few small magnets to the bottom corners of each box with the intent of attaching them to the side of your refrigerator. There's a good chance your apartment's cute coffee corner is built out near other appliances, but if not this still offers the benefit of letting you always see when your organizers need to be refilled. Having a mountable Dollar Tree craft is also useful if you decide to pivot away from K-Cups based on questions regarding their recyclability; the spaces divided by your popsicle sticks should be wide enough to store other useful kitchen goods like spice containers.
