Battery-Powered Paint Sprayers From Ryobi That Won't Break The Bank

So you've done all the research on how to manage your home DIY project, including the best colors to paint your interior doors and all the clever tricks and tips you'll need when painting your doors. Maybe you've come to the conclusion that the job could be made a little easier using a paint sprayer. A battery-powered paint spray offers the convenience of no trip hazards, ease of mobility, and a lower chance of power surges, which could lead to an expensive lesson about how high voltage can damage your appliances.

As per a 2022 Consumer Reports study, the difference between a bare-bones electric paint sprayer and a battery-powered paint sprayer is roughly $500, with a battery-powered handheld appliance clocking in at $600 versus the handheld electric model's $100 average price tag. That $600 quoted is actually on the low end, considering they can climb to upwards of $2,000. As such, the obvious drawback to battery-powered paint sprayers is that they can be significantly more expensive than corded paint sprayers. However, we've found two battery-powered paint sprayers that are exceptions to the rule.

Ryobi One 18V cordless handheld sprayer kit

An unfortunate thing most people only realize after the fact is that there are popular appliance splurges that may not be the best use of funds. While we've established that battery-powered paint sprayers can be a bit more of a financial burden than paint sprayers with electric cords, manufacturer Ryobi One is defying the odds with products like the Ryobi One 18V Cordless Handheld Sprayer Kit, which sells for $49.99 and comes with a lithium-ion battery and charger. Great for larger home projects, the sprayer weighs less than a pound at 15 ounces, comes in one of three colors, and has a continuous spray trigger that makes it easier to get a perfect finish every time when using a paint sprayer tool on diy projects.

This battery-powered paint sprayer can also be used to spray disinfectant, deodorizer, and cleaning products. The battery holds enough power to empty a tank up to 120 times before needing a recharge. Even better, the charging port is compatible with other Ryobi One 18V products. All this makes the 18V Cordless Handheld Sprayer Kit not only affordable but also multipurpose, which, in our opinion, only raises its value.

Crivnhar 1200 ml HVLP auto paint sprayer with brushless motor

The Crivnhar HVLP Auto Paint Sprayer, retailing for $89.99, is another handheld portable product. The manufacturer suggests it is best for home furniture, decks, ceilings, cabinets, fences, and doors. Much like the last paint sprayer, a 70,000 RPM Brushless Motor helps ensure a consistent, even flow of paint and boasts half as much overspray to clean up. If you've ever had to deal with stuff getting into your sprayer, you'll appreciate the anti-backflow system built into the paint sprayer. It allows you more confidence with painting on an angle since it helps ensure, along with regular cleaning, that you won't have to worry about things gumming up your turbines.

Also like the last paint sprayer, the Crivnhar HVLP kit comes with additional accessories like four different-sized nozzles, five paint filters, cleaning equipment, and a dust blower. So you can use this for painting and cleaning surfaces. We mentioned that the Ryobi One 18V Cordless Handheld Sprayer battery was compatible with other Ryobi products. Well, it also happens to be compatible with the HVLP, which is good since the HVLP doesn't come with a battery or charger.
