The brand now stands as one of the top super glue brands, based on online sales and customer feedback, and offers several different types of super glue. As a top-rated super glue brand on Home Depot's website, Loctite three offers six super glues with a 4.5-star rating or higher, including the longneck bottle liquid, professional clear liquid, and ultra gel control clear applicator. These glues also make an appearance on Amazon's Loctite "Bestseller" list within the "Top Brands" category, along with the brush-on bottle and no-drip options. Many shoppers who purchased one of these products claim the glues adhere well to various surfaces. Loctite super glues are designed to bond to wood, metal, leather, rubber, most plastics, and other surfaces.

The longneck liquid super glue formula received the highest rating by Lowe's online customers, with one reviewer stating that it's a great glue for any DIY project. The top reviews for these latter products are also similar to those of the other online retailers, but some customers also highlighted the precision of the microprecise gel.

Others praise the self-tapping nozzles and the glue's ability to bond to dirty and greasy surfaces, as noted on the packaging.

The brand created a much bigger buzz on Amazon, where more than 15,000 customers expressed their satisfaction with several of its super glue products. The 0.07-oz 12-pack of liquid tube amassed the most feedback, with buyers confirming the glue's advertised strength and durability. While these tubes are more than double the size of the top-rated ones at Lowe's, the reviews are similar regarding the benefits of multiple tiny tubes over one large tube.

Flex Seal is the newest of the four super glue brands mentioned in this article, but it still had enough time to reign as one of the top-rated super glue brands. Established in 2011, the brand initially offered rubberized sealants and adhesives, but now it offers super glue as well, among other products.

Some also based their high ratings on the precise application and no-drop nature of the gel formula. The liquid bottle formula was popular among Amazon shoppers as well, with more than 1,700 5-star ratings.

Lowe's carries only two types of Flex Seal super glue online — the liquid and the gel types, available in multiple sizes – but they received a 4.6-star and 4.7-start review respectively. One reviewer used the liquid super glue to repair a broken ceramic vase and said the bond was strong, and the glue left no residue like other glues do. Another praised the glue for its fast-drying time.

When it comes to the "best" or "worst" of any product, not everyone will share the same opinion on which products should fall into which category. The same goes for super glue brands. However, one brand within Amazon's "Top Brands" category received some of the lowest ratings from customers: Scotch. Elmer's Krazy Glue as another popular brand also had underwhelming results, based on two different strength tests.

Although some Scotch super glues available on Amazon received at least a 4.5-star average rating, the average rating of others was much lower. For example, 27% of the reviews for the super glue pen were 1-star ratings, contributing to the product's 3.5-star average rating. Some customers had issues with the applicator while others said the glue didn't come out at all because it had already hardened in the tube.
