Reuse Quilting Hoops For A DIY Hanging Planter On The Fly

If you love decorating your home with plants and doing easy DIY projects, there's a fun way to create a piece that will compare favorably with the trendiest indoor planters. You can repurpose a quilting hoop you find at a thrift store or hidden among your unused crafting supplies for a stylish hanging planter. Along with the quilting hoop, all you will need is a wooden bowl, some twine, some E6000 Craft Adhesive or the equivalent, and hot glue.

Start by choosing your wooden bowl; it should fit snugly in the bottom of the quilting hoops. Separate the two parts of the hoop. Then apply some of the E6000 glue and the hot glue to the inside of the larger ring on the top and bottom; combining the two types of glue will allow for an extra-strong hold. Attach the smaller ring inside the larger ring facing the opposite direction, and hold it together until the hot glue dries. Use the E6000 glue and the hot glue on the bottom of the bowl and attach it to the inside of the structure. Tie the twine around the top of the quilting hoops and hang it in your desired location. Add your favorite real or faux greenery, and your project is complete!
