Our Favorite Designs From HGTV Star Jeremiah Brent's Wallpaper Collection

HGTV star Jeremiah Brent is making an indelible impact on the interior design world thanks to his stunning designs for celebrity clients like Ryan Seacrest and Ellen Pompeo. 2024 was a busy year for Brent. Along with joining the cast of Netflix's "Queer Eye," he also launched a peel-and-stick wallpaper collection with designs that are as chic as the designer himself. Working with Tempaper & Co, a family-owned business focused on stylish but removable wallpaper, Brent created a collection he calls "Nostalgia." Inspired by personal memories and mimicking materials he uses frequently in his interior designs, the wallpaper collection offers a high-end look at an affordable price. From classic checkerboard patterns to wood-inspired prints, our favorite designs from Brent's wallpaper collection can add tranquil texture to any room.

It can be challenging to choose the right wallpaper for your space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is ideal if you're renting and can't make any permanent changes. It's also excellent when you're new to hanging wallpaper or looking for a way to spruce up a room without spending a fortune. Each roll in Brent's wallpaper collection has a self-adhesive backing that can be installed on any smooth wall. It can even be applied in bathrooms and other high-humidity areas. Several Nostalgia collection wallpapers feature more than geometric lines and timeless colorways. Designs like Brent's understated Faux Grasscloth Parquet and Art Nouveau-inspired Hoffman Faux Sisal also offer subtle texture.

Neutral colors and timeless patterns work in a variety of rooms

"This collection was all about creating something that feels truly timeless," Jeremiah Brent said when he launched his new wallpaper collection. Fans of the lauded interior designer won't be surprised to learn that the Nostalgia collection features two checkerboard designs, one of Brent's go-to patterns. In warm neutral hues of ecru and cream, his Vintage Check Textured Peel and Stick Wallpaper is ideal for adding a tile look to a kitchen backsplash. For something more striking, choose the black-and-white version. Or, to make it your own, keep in mind that Tempaper will print any design in a custom colorway.

The collection also contains two wood-inspired designs. Brent's husband and fellow designer, Nate Berkus, favors breaking the rules when decorating with wood tones by using more than one in a room. Brent's focus on making his wallpaper collection accessible makes this approach easier than it sounds. In warm tones of brown and black, the Etched with Time Wallpaper has a wild and imperfect look that can work in small entryways or hallways. Consider using it in spaces that lead into dining rooms or studies hung with Brent's rich and sleek Modern Burl design. For powder rooms or play spaces, Brent created a fun design that stays neutral thanks to subtle blue and brown tones. Meet Me in Peru is both abstract and geometric, and offers a more global vibe than other options in the Nostalgia collection.

Nostalgia is less expensive than wallpaper sold by other HGTV stars

Along with being versatile, Jeremiah Brent's wallpaper collection is also affordable compared to traditional pasted wallpaper options. For example, fellow HGTV designer Joanna Gaines sells pre-pasted wallpaper double rolls featuring a French ticking stripe for $110, or just under $2 per square foot. Brent's peel-and-stick textured ticking stripe retails for $99 for the same double roll size, clocking in at $1.77 per square foot.

Most of the Nostalgia collection designs are also cheaper than similar peel-and-stick wallpapers released by HGTV's Ben and Erin Napier. The couple's York Tick Mark Texture design is $65 for a single roll or $1.90 per square foot.  Brent's textured wallpaper, Faux Grasscloth Primitivo, costs $49.99 for a single roll, again at $1.77 per square foot. It's also important to keep in mind that although York offers 60 days to return wallpaper rolls that aren't quite right and Tempaper only gives you 30 days to decide, York charges a 25% restocking fee.

For larger rooms, the price differences can add up. When selecting your wallpaper, consider the cost per square foot and the length of time you expect to have the covering on your walls to weigh up if it's worth it. One reason why wallpaper can be better than painting is that it typically looks great for many years, while painting can need regular touch-ups. If you're clever about your wallpaper choice, it can result in a spectacular room transformation and a money-saving hack.
