If you don't like the bamboo look, no need to purchase this tray for the DIY. As long as you find something fairly light weight that matches your style, you can give this project a try.

You will also need to pick up some hooks from IKEA. Deciding what hook to purchase is completely up to you and your decor style. There are many simple hooks to choose from, but if you are looking for something more unique, consider these JORDMÅNEN hooks or these JORDBORR hooks. And, if you don't like the color of the hooks, it is easy to paint them. For metal hooks, sand the hook, use a spray paint primer meant for metal, and then paint a few coats with a spray paint meant for metal.
