The Handy Tool That Lets You Flawlessly Hang Curtains Without Any Drilling

Simple home improvement projects can become intimidating when certain machinery and equipment get involved. Not everyone is comfortable with using power tools, for example, so it's nice to have alternative methods for accomplishing a task. With something like putting curtains up, no-drill curtain rod brackets can help. As their name suggests, you won't need to drill anything but can install them easily and quickly with just a hammer.

Another perk of no-drill tools and projects is that they are renter-friendly. When you're staying in a place temporarily, like in a rented apartment or a dorm room, you might not be able to make permanent changes to the space. This is why you go for things like faux wood wall paneling that looks like the real deal or peel-and-stick wallpaper instead of traditional wallpaper. Command strips can also replace nails to hang up curtains or paintings on the wall. The idea with these hacks is that they are very easy to install and remove without leaving a trace.

No-drill curtain rod brackets

Fun fact: No-drill curtain rod brackets were created by manufacturing company Kwik-Hang and the concept made it to Shark Tank! The idea behind their design was to simplify the task of hanging up curtains and eliminate the need for tools and extra parts, per Kwik-Hang. You can get a pair of Kwik-Hang single curtain rod brackets on Amazon for $13.99. They come in black, bronze, gold, and silver, and can hold up to 20 pounds. To install no-drill curtain rod brackets, you just need to put them on top of the window trim, at the edges, then lightly hammer them so they stay in place. Then, you place the curtain rod and the curtains on them.

Some other tips for hanging curtains without drilling are to use tension rods or adhesive hooks. You can even make your own curtain rod brackets with adhesive cup hooks. All you need to do is to get hooks that are big enough to hold your curtain rod, attach the hooks to your wall, and place the rod on them.
