The Easy IKEA Hack That Turns A Kitchen Staple Into A Decorative Light Feature
Need some extra lighting in your home, but also want something stylish? Choosing the perfect lighting for your space can be a challenge, but this easy IKEA hack might just be the decor you are looking for. Turn the IKEA SNUDDA Lazy Susan into a gorgeous decorative light feature in just a few easy steps!
Along with the lazy Susan, you will also need LED lights strips that are battery operated, and some Command strips. Start by turning the lazy Susan upside down. Stick the LED light strips around the small circle's edge. Then, put Command strips or a similar wall adhesive on the bottom of the stand. Stick the lazy Susan on the wall, and turn on the LED light. You now have a unique light fixture! In the video, the creator crafted three of these lights to create an art piece on their wall, but the amount that you make or how you arrange them is completely up to you!
Match your lights to your decor
This DIY is easy to customize to fit your home! Consider choosing LED lights with adjustable colors. This will allow you to change the lighting in your space depending on your mood, the season, or the holiday. You can also adjust the style of the lazy Susan to match your decor. Start by sanding and then staining or painting the lazy Susan. If you want to give your lazy Susan even more of a design, you could always use stencils, transfers, decorative tape, or decoupage.
While this DIY is great for the wall, it could also be used in the kitchen pantry too! Lazy Susans are a kitchen's best friend. Rather than trying to guess which jar is which in a dark cabinet, you could use your lighted lazy Susan to easily find ingredients. Simply create the project as described above and skip the step where you add adhesive to the bottom. Your project will now be ready to light up any space!
