The Cute Halloween-Themed Pool Noodle Centerpiece That's Bound To Steal The Show

Once October arrives each year, front yards begin being transformed into graveyards, while ghosts start taking over porches. However, if you prefer a more subtle look when decorating your home for Halloween, you can DIY a pool noodle centerpiece that's affordable, quick to make, and likely to send everyone running out to make their own. To complete this DIY, you'll glue embellishments like ornaments and other decorative items onto a black pool noodle. This decoration can be completely personalized to your aesthetic and whatever decorative items are available at your store.

All you need for this craft is the black option of the Halloween-Themed Foam Pool Noodles, bulb ornaments, and floral picks, which are all available at Dollar Tree for $1.25 each. Choosing to use all-black embellishments will give off a chic, mysterious vibe. If you'd rather have a more sparkly and playful touch, add some orange and magenta ornaments as well. Dollar Tree sells small Halloween Themed Glitter Ornaments and larger Halloween Glitter Ornament Bulbs, so decide if you want one or the other or a combination of both. You can find a range of floral picks as well, like the Black and Purple Rose Bushes with Spiders and Eyeballs, the Floral Garden Halloween Roses with Skulls and Bats, and the Crafter's Square Halloween Decorative Picks.

How to make a Halloween-themed pool noodle centerpiece

To begin, cut the pool noodle down to your desired size to fit your table, mantel, or other surface. If you weren't quick enough to snag a black noodle from Dollar Tree's Halloween section, you'll need to paint the noodle before you do anything else. The TikToker uses Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X UltraCover Spray Paint, but you could use any acrylic spray paint. Properly protect your work area and keep the space well-ventilated. Also, don't worry about using a primer. Since your pool noodle will be covered with decorations, the paint does not need to be perfect.

Once the paint is dry, use hot glue to attach ornaments all the way around the pool noodle, hiding the tops of the bulbs against the foam. The ornaments should be affixed in a way that allows the centerpiece to sit on its own. Next, insert floral picks into the noodle, followed by another layer of ornaments — again, hiding the tops of the bulbs. Continue alternating the placement of picks and ornaments until you achieve your desired look. If you want to add tealights for a spooky glow, glue tealight holders to the pool noodle and use battery-powered candles. You could also wrap the piece in fairy lights and hide the battery pack underneath the arrangement.
