Effortlessly Find Your Favorite Graphic Tees With An Easy Folding Trick
A well-organized clothing storage setup can play a key role when it comes to being able to see what you have to easily find things in a pinch. T-shirts can be especially challenging to store in an efficient way, often relegated to messy drawer stacks and piles. You can spend too much unfolding and refolding to find the right one, especially if you have a large collection. However you store your tees, you ideally want to be able to see the design on the front without having to make a mess. TikTok user @ijoshiajamal3 recently showed off his trick for folding tees that makes them both compact and with their designs fully visible, allowing you to see your collection in a glance without all that endless refolding.
He begins by laying the t-shirt flat on a surface, then pinching the fabric under the arms to fold the shirt in half horizontally. Pinch the fabric again vertically at the collar and bottom to make another fold, flipping over the tee, then folding back again so the design is visible. You can then fold the remaining sleeve under. For the final step, fold it in half again on the horizontal. The graphic will be fully visible on the front and on the side of the fold, so you can see it when stacked or placed together with others without having to unfold them.
How to store graphic tees
This folding technique works perfectly for keeping tees in a dresser. Stack them flat or file them vertically, which can give you more space for more t-shirts and make it much easier to organize your dresser drawers and have them stay neat. Or stack them on a wardrobe or closet shelf neatly and still be able to see the designs for easy identification. You can also, as the tutorial does, keep them stashed in space saving storage bins that you can use in a closet or store under the bed. You can also use sturdy cardboard decorated with pretty fabric or paper in the bin to create two rows of graphic tees in larger bins.
When traveling, you can also roll the tees once again with the graphics visible which will save you a little more space in your suitcase. While seeing the design is less important with other pieces, the technique also works for storing any short in a compact and neat way. Try it for non-graphic tees, hoodies, tanks, and crew neck sweaters to organize your closet.
